Even though the Priefert Open Campdraft draw at Tamworth read like the “who’s who” of the campdrafting world, Condamine Rembrandt’s owners, Dean & Nicole Hann were modest about the stallion’s great victory.

Going into the final in second place after two rounds  with 179 points, the property Manager from “Yabtree West”, Adelong, managed an impressive 24 yard score, 62 for horse work and four course points to take home the gold and silver buckle and $10,000 prize money.

Rembrandt has run so many places in open company, it was just our turn this time and we capitalised on that to finally notch up a major win.
Conditions for the final were less than ideal with 18 millimetres falling in a storm just after the finalists were presented, but Dean said the wet track was ideal for drafting, firming up the surface for some muddy, yet spectacular courses.

Rembrandt, by Warrenbri Romeo was bred by Paul & Ros Ireland and is from the top Elliot’s Creek Cadet campdraft mare Condamine Select, who was campaigned by Hugh Cameron with great success, including a second in the Canning Downs campdraft.
